Publicly listed company PT Medco Energi Internasional (MedcoEnergi)
signed a memorandum of understanding with Korea Gas Corporation (Kogas)
on the development of coal bed methane (CBM) at Medco’s three CBM blocks
in South Sumatra.
The signing of the agreement marked the
beginning of the two companies’ cooperation in identifying and studying
all possibilities to increase the value of CBM, including the
opportunity to develop liquefied natural gas (LNG) from CBM.
